- About me:
I'm Connor Gandy, 20 from Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. I'm a game development enthusiast and student with years of personal experience, I'm openly gay, I speak English [Native] and Brazilian Portugese [A small amount] and I like adventure and taking photos for research and textures.
The games I make are mostly inspired by my dreams though some of the models I post here are just random things I've done to pass the time. I plan on being more active from now through 2017.
- What do I do:
I 3D model and make games in my own time! I am also a student studying Games design/ Games art. I spend allot of my spare time making solo game projects using Unity and I have a high quality standard so I wont ever use outsourced models or models I'm not happy with. I never cut corners to ensure my games look and feel professional and immersive.
- My workflow:
Firstly the tools I use most are Photoshop, Cinema4D, 3DsMax, FL Studio, Audacity, Quixel *or* Nividia's normal map tool and of course Unity 5! I have a very modern desktop computer that I've spent a lot of money on to do all my work on and a Macbook Pro which I use for on the go.
I use my phone Sony Xperia Z5 Premium (because of it 23mp 4K HDR camera) to take photos for research and textures and make them seamless if needed in photoshop.
Most of the things I model are modelled in cinema4D and although it doesn't offer the auto optimization tools that 3DsMax does over the years I have learned to optimise my meshes better with the tools provided and I now have no issues with low poly modeling in Cinema4D.
In unity the only plugin I use is realtime AutoSnap tool by unity wiki user [ karl_ ] for if I'm using a modular system in my project.
